We at Kleskun Springs Fishing Club have developed artesian springs into private fishing ponds . These sites are located within 6 minutes of Sexsmith, Alberta and 18 miles from Grande Prairie, Alberta and are available for full day or half day use. Our goal is to provide Kleskun Springs Fishing Club members with rainbow trout fishing the way it was meant to be - in well stocked clean cool waters and uncrowded conditions.

The vast scenic 220 acres of private property is the combination of two side-by-side properties. Performing as one, as natures’ dancers once danced, this union is a stride towards the movement of environmental protection and enhancement The garden's fertile soil is supplied by an old cattle ranch that used to make its home on 164 acres of untreated macrobiotic landscape located in the Kleskun Valley. Kleskun Springs Fishery is situated on the 56 acres of land next door, which currently is under consideration to be rezoned from agriculture to recreation, is designed to house the fishing operation. The foundation for the Kleskun Springs Fishery Program is the amalgamation of a biologically varied countryside and full of life days fishing and enjoying the countryside.

Kleskun Springs Fishing Club offers daily access fees, weekend packages, as well as seasonal leases.

How does the Fishing Club work?

The Fishing Club Directory details all of our day sites. Members consult the Fishing Club Directory and select the site or combination of sites they would like to fish, then call the Fishing Club Reservation Office to reserve them. Members automatically receive a confirmation number at this time. Members print the confirmation number on their Reservation Card, which is placed on the dashboard of their vehicle. This card identifies Kleskun Springs Fishing Club members to the landowner and staff and verifies their right to enter the property. It also verifies that they are fully aware of all rules, regulations and respect the integrity of the neighbourhood and the environment.

Fishing Club Directory includes Membership Conduct and Fishing Club Regulations, site entries, the Fishing Club Membership Agreement, Guest Membership Agreements, dashboard reservation cards and a section for compiling your visits and catches.

Fish Stocking

The ponds are annually stocked with trout to provide an enjoyable experience for customers. Each spring, rainbow trout are purchased from private hatcheries and stocked in the pond where they grow to be ready for fishing by early summer. Any fish wily enough to escape being caught during the summer will happily over winter beneath the ice, and be even larger the following season.
